Drake Maye's Latest Comments Will Have Patriots Fans Fired Up

The New England Patriots made it to the Super Bowl last season, but fell just short of bringing another Lombardi Trophy to Foxborough.

The Patriots had the No. 4 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, and now they sit at No. 31. They were one of the worst teams in the NFL just a year ago, and now they are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Mike Vrabel's arrival, free agency spending and Drake Maye's improvement all played a major role in making the team relevant again.

During an appearance on "The Greg Hill Show," Greg Hill thanked Maye on behalf of the region for saving them. However, Maye made it clear that he's not satisfied yet.

"I wouldn’t say all that," Maye replied on Tuesday. "We got some work to do.”

Maye is coming off a season where he was the MVP Award runner-up to Matthew Stafford. He led the league in completion percentage and passer rating, and quickly made the Patriots a contender again, as they were for all of Tom Brady's tenure. However, he knows that the goal is to win a Super Bowl.

He is not satisfied with simply being a good team. The region may be glad that the Patriots are contenders, but Maye wants to be a champion. Last year proved the Patriots are close, but now they have to make moves to finish the job.
