It's hard to imagine Stefon Diggs playing for the Patriots next season after being released last month. But one of New England's top executives still isn't ruling out a reunion.
During an appearance on "Up & Adams" this week, Patriots executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf was asked about the possibility of re-signing Diggs.
“Yeah, I never like to rule anything out,” said Wolf, who made similar comments after releasing Diggs. “There’s always different scenarios that come up, whether you have an injury or a scheme shift, or whatever the case may be, so, don’t wanna close the door on anything.”

Even if the Patriots truly wanted to reunite with Diggs, the feeling might not be mutual. Last month, when asked why New England released the veteran wideout, Wolf cited Diggs' "ability" as one of the factors.
That remark surely made its way back to Diggs, who led the Patriots in catches (85) and yards (1,013) last season despite coming off a torn ACL. The 32-year-old also racked up four touchdowns.
