Pat McAfee momentarily interrupted the regular programming of his show to address a “wild” report surrounding Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.

According to a bombshell tell-all from ESPN’s Tim McManus and Jeremy Fowler, Hurts — who drew the ire of Philadelphia fans on more than one occasion last season — possessed "rigid preferences" that routinely held back the Eagles’ offense and caused it to become “calcified.” The star signal-caller voiced his disapproval of multiple changes that the coaching staff suggested, including taking snaps under center more often.

Hurts also reportedly diverted from Philadelphia’s game plan and regularly swapped out of former Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo’s playcalls “to what some feel is an excessive degree.”

Earlier on, the 27-year-old developed a “tense” relationship with ex-OC Kellen Moore due to his reluctance to embrace new offensive concepts.

On the latest edition of the ‘Pat McAfee Show,’ the ESPN pundit provided his two cents on the alleged issues within the Eagles’ locker room. “Reports coming out that Jalen Hurts is a problem,” he said while letting out an audible gasp.

“What the hell does he mean by calcified? Basically saying that Jalen Hurts has put the Eagles offense into a position where it can't go up or it can't go down? It's basically just here?

“In the article, they say he likes certain routes. He likes doing things. He likes throwing it out here. He doesn't like these things. He changes plays to be asked plays is what an anonymous source told Jeremy Fowler in a nutshell this whole thing.”

McAfee likened the rumors to similar complaints from anonymous sources regarding Caleb Williams last offseason, adding: “Now you read that — especially as what we saw last year coming out of Chicago Bears camp with how Caleb Williams was kind of being talked about by anonymous sources.

"You go here to Philadelphia, you see anonymous sources. You start thinking to yourself, well who would be saying, ‘Play calls were good.

'"That guy was changing them to a-- calls.’ You can start piecing things together.”

In McAfee’s eyes, the Eagles’ issues may stretch far beyond Hurts or other players who’ve voiced their frustration with the team’s status in recent years.

“Or maybe this is fresh out of the league meetings, the overall narrative was like, hey, there's a bigger problem here and it's not just A.J. Brown opening up books on a sideline saying he hates what it’s become over there,” McAfee continued.

“Is everybody unhappy, is Jalen now the enemy? This is a wild article to have here on this April 1st fresh out of the league meetings, and I really don't know how to take it.

“But now the Eagles [have] even more drama, which is seemingly the case with this team all the time. Now all eyes seemingly are on Jalen Hurts. That's crazy. This guy just won a Super Bowl two years ago!”
