Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. has on Wednesday moved to make clear his support for Barcelona counterpart Lamine Yamal.
This of course comes after a difficult night for the young attacker on Tuesday.
Lamine was back in action on the international front yesterday, in Spain’s friendly clash with Egypt.
En route to an eventual goalless draw between the countries, large sections of the home fans in attendance were heard chanting:
‘Whoever doesn’t jump is a Muslim.’
This came as an obvious effort to discriminate against their Egyptian opposition, but also saw the aforementioned Lamine left looking upset.
The 18-year-old is for his part a devout Muslim, leading Lamine to take to social media in the game’s aftermath to make his disappointment known:

And as alluded to above, the Barcelona sensation has since received the support of a player whom he would generally consider a fierce rival.
After coming across Lamine’s post on Instagram, Real Madrid talisman Vinícius Jr. responded with a ‘like’, making clear his backing for the young winger:
