Barcelona “could hardly say no” if Liverpool firm up their interest in Jules Kounde, according to reports in Catalan media
Mundo Deportivo claim that the Reds, Manchester City and Liverpool have shown various levels of interest in the 27-year-old.

However, they have heard rumours that Arne Slot’s side could be prepared to table a concrete proposal in the region of €80m (£70m), and if that “real offer” materialises, it would be seriously considered.
Barca need to raise funds for signings, with the La Liga champions interested in both Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez and Inter Milan’s Alessandro Bastoni.
For that reason, Kounde is not classed as unsellable, even if they are not actively trying to push him out of the door.
Why do Liverpool want the defender?
Kounde has been playing at right-back for Hansi Flick’s side, and Mundo Deportivo believe that the Reds want a more defensive-minded player than Jeremie Frimpong.
It does, though, seem unlikely that the Merseyside club would be willing to be upwards of £70m for the France international, especially as substantial resources will be needed to sign Mo Salah’s replacement.

Bradley’s fitness will determine any move for a right-back
Conor Bradley has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. There have been some reports that the Northern Ireland international could miss the start of next campaign as well.
If that happens, then some cover may need to be brought in, but even in that scenario, a sizeable outlay on Kounde would not be on the cards. A loan deal or a free agent would be the more realistic solution.
