Bills quarterback Josh Allen and wife, Hailee Steinfeld, are expecting their first child.
The Buffalo Bills continue to revamp their roster ahead of the 2026 NFL season, but there’s one part of the team that remains constant — superstar Josh Allen.
The dual-threat quarterback is the backbone of the team, and he regularly goes into full Superman mode to get a win. Despite the 29-year-old quarterback undergoing offseason foot surgery, head coach Joe Brady has no plans to reel in his run game.
“My goal as the QB coach, as the OC, and now the head coach is I want Josh Allen to play as long as Josh Allen physically can play,” Brady told reporters at the NFL Meetings in Phoenix. “The game of football is better off with Josh Allen playing.
“There’s gonna come a time in his career where his legs aren’t gonna be able to do what he can do now, and he’s going to have to become a true pocket passer. We’re not there yet, right? But I have to be mindful of that when I’m calling plays.”

Allen, who turns 30 next month, is not just preparing for the upcoming season, he’s also preparing for the birth of his first child with wife, Hailee Steinfeld. The couple tied the knot last May and announced their pregnancy in December.
Steinfeld’s due date is imminent, and there’s a chance Steinfeld has quietly already given birth. However, that won’t keep Allen away from One Bills Drive.
Bills Head Coach Joe Brady Announced Josh Allen Will Attend Voluntary Workouts Next Week
When voluntary workouts kick off on April 7 in Western New York, Allen will be there, Brady revealed. “When you’re Josh Allen, you’ve got marketing. You’ve got stuff. Now you’ve got family. I’m understanding that guys might not be able to be there every single day, every moment. But what I know is if Josh can, he will,” Brady said.
“I’m not sitting in this chair without Josh, right? We’re in this together, and we’ve got to hold each other accountable. So I know how important that is for him, especially day one. He’s going to be sitting in that chair, helping everybody else.”

Allen has skipped voluntary workouts for much less important events, like competing in “The Match” golf tournament four years ago. However, considering Allen and Steinfeld skippedthe Academy Awards despite her movie, “Sinners,” being the most-nominated film in Oscars history, Brady’s announcement comes as a surprise.
Steinfeld’s “Sinners” co-star, Michael B. Jordan, gave “Hailee at home” a shoutout while accepting his Oscar for Best Actor on March 15, noting how “she’s getting ready to have a baby right now.”
The 29-year-old actress and Allen were most recently spotted in Southern California, near Allen’s $7.2 million home in Dana Point. Steinfeld is unable to fly this late in her pregnancy; therefore, it seems she plans to give birth on the West Coast — not Buffalo.
Bills Head Coach Joe Brady Missed His Wife Giving Birth
During Brady’s introductory press conference in January, the 36-year-old proved his dedication to the team by sharing a heartbreaking story about his wife, Lauren, whom he married in 2022.
“This job demands sacrifice, right? I’m calling you on the way to a game while you’re going into labor. I find out after the game, you’ve give birth by yourself. This game takes away time, energy, and presence from you.”
“And you’ve carried the weight that comes with this job so that I can pursue my calling,” Brady continued. “Your strength, your belief and your steadiness is the foundation that allows me to do what I do. You’ve believed me long before this moment has arrived. I’m nothing without you and I iwll never get anywhere in life without you.”
The Bradys share two children, a son and a daughter. Their son was born in 2023, while their daughter arrived in 2025.
