The Las Vegas Raiders are in a rebuild and have a new head coach, Klint Kubiak, at the helm to turn the franchise’s fortunes around. Nonetheless, heading into Kubiak’s first year as a head coach, he has a tremendous resource in minority owner Tom Brady.

Kubiak was the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, who won Super Bowl LX last season. However, despite his success, the new Raiders coach intends to lean on Brady.

“I probably contact him once every two days, text back and forth or call each other,”Kubiak said on the April 1 edition of “Upon Further Review.” “Just very supportive. He obviously wants the Raiders to win and is always trying totouch base withmyself or with [general manager John Spytek] on how he can help that process.

“I love picking his brain, hearing where he’s coming from. He’s given me so many pointerson experiences he’sbeen through. I’m taking notes and I’m asking questions… It’s a great resource not only for me but for the team. For the whole organization.”

Tom Brady Talks About the Raiders Rebuild

On March 21, Tom Bradywas asked about the Raiders having a new head coach in Klint Kubiak and Maxx Crosby back in the fold after his failed trade to theBaltimore Ravens. Nonetheless, Brady opted to focus on the rebuild Las Vegas is undergoing to ensure long-term sustainable success.

“My career has allowed me to be around amazing people and mentors like Robert Kraft as an owner of a team, and now getting to work with Mark Davis in the role that I’m in, and to see the different ways things are done and how we’re evolving and growing,“ Brady said (h/tVic Tafur of The Athletic).

“We certainly have a long way to go. What I’ve learned about football in 23 seasons is that it takes a tremendous amount of resilience, adversity, discipline, determination, and communication from an entire organization to really see the value in committing to one another.

“So it’s always process over outcomes. We’re all trying, all of us in our own roles, whether it’s ownership, the personnel department, strength and conditioning, athletic training, or obviously players across offense and defense. Everyone’s got to come together, and everyone has to work incredibly hard for the people next to them.”

John Spytek Gets Blunt About Las Vegas’ QB Position

Furthermore, one area that Kubiak and Co. need to bolster is the QB position. Aidan O’Connell is the only player on the roster, but many assume that the Raiders will select Fernando Mendoza to add to the signal-caller room.

On March 30,Raiders general manager John Spytek spoke with reporters and shared an update on the team’s plan to improve the QB position as the 2026 NFL Draft approaches.

“Aidan’s played a lot of good football in this league,“ Spytek said. “He’s started, he’s thrown for 300 yards in games. He’s a great teammate, works his tail off, and he’s smart.

“Obviously, he’s the only quarterback on the roster right now, and at a premium position, I think it’s a fair question to ask. We’re considering a bunch of different things right now, and I think we’ll have some answers here in the coming weeks.”
