Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski compiled 4 more Kirk Cousins trade proposals, including teams looking for QB depth and a possible reunion.
Former Vikings QB Kirk Cousins has been the subject of a lot of speculation regarding his next team.
Cousins was released by the Atlanta Falcons just 2 years into his 4-year/$180 million agreement with the team. In 2024, Minnesota decided to move on from the former Michigan State Spartan in favor of a QB room including Sam Darnold and the eventual J.J. McCarthy.
There were even some rumors earlier this offseason that a reunion between the Vikings and Cousins was a real possibility. Minnesota had stated their desire to have a competitive QB room. Thus, Cousins’ mix of veteran leadership ability and familiarity with the offense seemed like a natural fit.
These rumors got watered down fast when it was announced that the Cardinals would be releasing Kyler Murray. The Vikings became the instant favorite, and the signing of Murray eventually did happen.
Nonetheless, now, Kirk Cousins officially has a new home for the 2026 season.

Early Thursday morning, Cousins’ agent, Mike McCartney, made the news public in a post onX.
Cousins will head to Vegas to mentor Fernando Mendoza, whom will be the Raiders’ selection at 1st overall at the 2026 NFL Draft. Ian Rapoport brought up an interesting tid-bit regarding Cousins and the potential that he is the Raiders’ Week 1 starter.
“New *#Raiders coach Klint Kubiak worked with Kirk Cousins with the#Vikings*for three seasons and recently discussed not wanting to rush a young QB onto the field. A day after Fernando Mendoza’s Pro Day, Cousins lands with Las Vegas.”
The Raiders QB room now consists of Kirk Cousins, Aidan O’Connell, and the assumed Fernando Mendoza. This is the first time Cousins will be employed by a team in the AFC.

The report comes from Adam Schefter on X.
“Titans are signing are signing former Commanders free-agent wide receiver KJ Osborn to a one-year deal, per source.”
Josh Alper ofPro Football Talk shared some insight on Osborn.
“Osborn failed to make the Commanders out of training camp last summer and spent time on the Falcons’ practice squad, but he did not appear in any regular season games with Atlanta. He played one game for Washington in 2024 and caught seven passes for 57 yards in seven games for New England before heading to the Commanders as a waiver claim.”
With Minnesota, K.J. Osborn was a fan-favorite. Over his four seasons in the Twin Cities, he totaled 158 catches for 1,845 yards and 15 touchdowns. He was a 2020 fifth-round selection by the Vikings after playing for Buffalo and Miami in college.
