ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — As they enter their 61st season, the Atlanta Falcons unveiled new uniforms Thursday that they will begin wearing in the upcoming 2026 season.
“The new uniforms honor the team’s rich history while also reflecting excitement for the future,” the team said in an announcement. “Red once again serves as the central element of the Falcons’ primary home jersey symbolizing passion, intensity, and swagger; qualities that have long been associated with Falcons football and a distinctive connection to Atlanta.
“The full uniform closet features the new primary uniforms alongside the team’s 1966-inspired throwback uniform.”
New primary home uniform
Featuring a black helmet, red jersey, white pants, and red socks.
“FALCONS” appears across the front chest.
White numbering and nameplate typography.
New primary away uniform
Featuring a black helmet, white jersey, two pant options in white or black, and white socks.
“ATLANTA” appears across the front chest.
Red numbering and nameplate typography.
New primary uniforms: pants, helmet, sleeve cap and inside neck collar
Pants feature striping inspired by the original 1966 Falcons design accentuated by a distinctive silver layer.
Helmets retain the iconic black low-gloss shell, now finished with a silver facemask and an updated front bumper featuring the “winged ATL,” the team’s official secondary mark.
Premium Falcons logo patches appear on each sleeve.
“DIRTY BIRDS” is stamped inside the collar.
New primary uniforms: numbers and typography
Enhanced legibility, forward-leaning angles, and Falcons-specific design cues create a look that’s bold and unmistakable on the field.
A fully redesigned custom number set blends classic block structure with Falcons ownable detailing.
New nameplate font blends classic football styling with a touch of Falcons DNA dispersed within the character set.
Throwback Uniform
Continuation of the 1966-inspired throwback uniforms featuring a red helmet, black jersey, white pants, and tri-color (red, black, white) socks.

The often maligned and beleaguered franchise has attempted to completely reset itself as the upcoming season nears. After posting its eighth-straight losing season last year, the team has created a new front office position — president of football — and hired Falcons legend Matt Ryan to fill it.
The Falcons also have a new general manager in Ian Cunningham and a new head coach in Kevin Stefanski.
