Without certain revenues being recognised, losses exceed permitted thresholds—raising the likelihood of player trading to balance the books.
Against that backdrop, Gordon has emerged as one of several high-value assets attracting interest. Alongside teammates such as Sandro Tonali, the 25-year-old is viewed as a player Newcastle could sell for a premium, with valuations frequently reported around £100 million.
Interest from ARSENAL has been consistent. The North London club are actively exploring left-wing reinforcements, with Gordon among a shortlist of targets identified by manager Mikel Arteta as he seeks to strengthen attacking depth.
However, the situation remains fluid. Some reports suggest Newcastle would only entertain bids at elite-market prices, while others indicate internal acceptance that at least one major departure could be required if European qualification is missed.
