Watch: Gaston County students celebrate moment teacher makes Panthers cheer squad

STANLEY, N.C. (WBTV) - A middle and high school dance teacher in Gaston County made the Carolina Panthers’ cheerleading team this week.

Christie Tittle, who teaches at Community Charter School in Stanley and previously performed as a Charlotte Honey Bees cheerleader, recently auditioned for the Panthers’ TopCats and earned a spot on the squad.

The school [shared an emotional video](https://www.instagram.com/p/DWmTHnAgV1V/) with us on Wednesday, April 1, showing Tittle and her class waiting to hear whether she made the team; **it can be viewed below**.

“We couldn’t be more proud of her hard work, talent, and dedication. Our Trailblazer family is lucky to have such an amazing role model!” the school wrote.

School officials said the accomplishment reflected Tittle’s dedication to her craft and served as an inspiration to her students and the entire Trailblazer family.
