Browns suggested to make shocking NFL draft trade in what would completely shake up top-10

The [Cleveland Browns](https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/cleveland-browns) absolutely need to figure out a way to improve this roster moving forward, and there are a slew of ways that could happen.

The Browns have some decent draft picks moving forward, and could be in play for the No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft if things go as poorly as some expect next year.

In this draft, the Browns have the sixth overall pick, and unless there's somebody they absolutely love there, some believe moving on from that pick could make sense.

According to [John Kosko of PFF](https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2026-nfl-draft-every-nfl-teams-most-valuable-trade-asset), Cleveland’s most valuable trade asset isn’t a player. but the No. 6 overall pick.

“If not for back-to-back wins to close the season, the Browns would be in a position to draft quarterback Fernando Mendoza or leverage that pick for a significant haul. Instead, Cleveland sits at No. 6 overall with clear needs at wide receiver and along the offensive line.

“While the Browns could stay put and take the best player available, their offense lacks proven talent. Trading down may be the more effective route, allowing them to accumulate additional draft capital while still adding impact contributors. Holding both a high first-round pick and a late first-round selection gives Cleveland the flexibility to reshape its roster heading into the draft.”

I agree and disagree with what moving the No. 6 pick would do.

On the one hand, if the Browns could get multiple picks in return and only drop a bit in this draft in the first round, doing so would make sense. On the other hand, if there's a player available who can significantly improve this roster early on, I say they should go for the swing.
