Dario Vidosic ‘confident’ for Albion FA Cup quarter final

This follows their 2-1 fifth-round victory over West Ham.

In the women’s Super League, Arsenal had narrowly beaten Albion 1-0 back in December.

But during the pre-match press conference, head coach Dario Vidosic voiced his side’s confidence for this fixture.

He said: “I think everyone’s excited for the FA cup, we’ve got a tough opponent in front of us. They’re the defending champs and current semi-finalists of the Champions League so it’s a wonderful challenge.

It’s a one-off game, so we’ll be ready for that.”

“We always talk about that (winning a trophy) to try and be the first team to make that history for the club, to bring the first piece of silverware.

"We know in every single competition that it’s very tough, it’s the best league in the world, and the best teams, so we know that every week is a challenge. So if we prepare well, we can go there confident...

"There’s no reason why we shouldn’t be confident, in the past, we’ve have had a fantastic result against them.

"Earlier in the season, we had a very good game at the Emirates so there’s that we can take confidence from."

Speaking about lessons learnt from their 1-0 defeat in the WSL, the Albion Women’s head coach added: “Arsenal are always a tricky one...

"They can keep the ball but can also hit you very quickly...

"If you do concede, that can very quickly turn into two or three...

"We learnt from that from last season when we went to the Emirates."

The Albion Women come into this game after a solid 1-0 win away to Leicester.

They find themselves sixth in the WSL, with four league games left to play.
