Veteran linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. has officially announced his retirement from the National Football League. He would announce his retirement from the NFL via his Instagram account, posting a thank-you note. Walker would spend time with the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Walker played college football as a member of the Northwestern Wildcats. He would be selected in the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts as a middle linebacker. However, he would later transition to other linebacker positions for other teams throughout his career.

Over the course of his decade-long career, he had 581 total tackles, 5.5 sacks, four interceptions, two forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries. He was limited to just two games last season with the Bucs and placed on the PUP list before being released from his one-year contract and decided to retire this offseason. For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, this is the second retirement of a player from their linebacker core a year ago as Lavonte David also retired this offseason.

It will be interesting to see if he remains in the football world or leaves it all behind into his next part of his life.
