There is no doubt that Marcus Rashford has seen his performances on the pitch improve since joining FC Barcelona on loan from Manchester United in the last summer transfer window.
Even without being a fixed starter, he has 10 goals and 13 assists to his name so far, and this number can increase further as he is expected to take on an important role in the Blaugrana team in Raphinha’s absence.
This period is also shaping up as crucial for his long-term future at Camp Nou, with Barcelona closely monitoring whether he can maintain this level and justify a permanent move.
His resurgence has not gone unnoticed at international level either. Rashford’s performances with England during the March international break have reignited debate over his role ahead of the World Cup.

Backing him strongly is Rio Ferdinand, who believes Rashford offers something decisive that others currently are not delivering. The former Manchester United defender, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, pointed to his direct impact and efficiency in front of the goal as key factors.
“Foden, Palmer, and Gordon didn’t register a single shot on target. Marcus Rashford played 19 minutes and had more; that says it all. Rashford should be a starter at the World Cup if we want to go far in the tournament. Right now, he’s the best player in the team.”
Ferdinand’s stance adds further weight to the growing narrative around Rashford’s revival. With Thomas Tuchel tasked with shaping England’s attacking hierarchy, the coming months could prove decisive in determining whether the Barcelona loanee translates his club form into a leading role on the biggest international stage.
