Arsenal U21s set for West Brom test

After almost two weeks without a game, Arsenal U21s will take on their West Bromwich Albion counterparts at home tomorrow in their penultimate match of the regular season.

Arsenal have lacked consistency throughout the campaign at this level and, following a brief upturn in form, they have now gone four matches without a win, with three of those ending in defeats.

Max Porter’s team are in 14th place in the Premier League 2 table, with only the top 16 progressing to the main playoffs at the end of the season.

Therefore, this is a very important game for Arsenal and it will be interesting to see who features given that some players could be involved in first-team training ahead of the FA Cup tie against Southampton.

Striker Evan Mooney, who has scored two goals in seven appearances since joining the club, could have an important part to play.

Mooney has frequently combined well with Andre Harriman-Annous, who has often played as a left winger in recent games.

West Brom are languishing in 25th place out of 29 teams in Premier League 2 but have progressed to the semi-finals of the Premier League Cup after a 5-4 win against Bournemouth.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Brian Okonkwo is part of the West Brom U21 squad although it remains to be seen if he will feature in this game.
