Chelsea summer signing Joao Pedro has enjoyed a very strong start to life at Stamford Bridge, although one youngster could soon be up for the task of taking some minutes off him.
In an overall poor season, Pedro has been the shining light for the Blues, scoring 18 goals and assisting another nine in all competitions so far.
Given the poor form of Liam Delap, there has been very little competition for the striker position this season, something the club are likely keen to address in the coming months.

Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev is already quicker than Joao Pedro
One youngster they have already secured the services of is Dastan Satpaev. Liam Rosenior reportedly wants Satpaev in his squad for next season.
The 17-year-old was in the spotlight this season as part of Kairat Almaty’s debut Champions League run, and according to Spencer Mossman, has a top speed in the competition of just under 21 miles per hour.

This ranks higher than current Chelsea star Pedro, as well as the likes of Julian Alvarez and Viktor Gyokeres.
While Kairat were comfortably eliminated in the group stages of the competition, it was still seen as a breakthrough campaign for the youngster.
Chelsea have a lot of faith in the Kazakhstan international, leaving him in the capable hands of Reece James’ father to help his development.

At this stage, there is no reports of any potential loan deals coming his way, meaning there is a real chance he is part of the first team squad next season.
The Blues have already secured the signature of Emanuel Emegha, however there is a world where he returns on loan to Strasbourg to further his development.
Those plans may well have become even more realistic after the serious injury suffered by club teammate Joaquin Panichelli, who was also on Chelsea’s radar.
