Former Louis Saha has stirred the transfer conversation around Jude Bellingham, suggesting the Real Madrid star would be enthusiastic about a future switch to Manchester United.
Saha, who spent four years at Manchester United, said he “would love” to see the England international in United colours and believes the midfielder’s admiration for the club could make such a move possible one day.
Speaking in an interview this week, Saha praised Bellingham’s rapid rise to global stardom, claiming the midfielder “has everything” and would suit United’s long-term project. While acknowledging that a transfer this summer is highly unlikely—given Bellingham’s central role in Madrid’s plans—he argued that the Premier League remains an attractive destination for elite English players.
“My dream summer signing for Man Utd would be Jude Bellingham. It’s a crazy idea, but he has everything. I’d absolutely love to see it,” Saha said (via Goal).
“His athleticism is, I think, the best in the world. He’s able to play in many roles, including number 8 or number 10. He has a sense of leadership, he’d definitely be a leader, a bit like Bruno Fernandes in some ways. He’s definitely in that bracket of world-class players.
“All these qualities would be amazing for United, and I think he’d love to return to England and play in the Premier League. So, it would be a dream.”
Manchester United are expected to target midfield reinforcements this summer as new minority owner INEOS begins reshaping the squad. However, any pursuit of Bellingham would require one of the largest transfer fees in football history, and sources close to the club have stressed that it is not seen as a feasible target in the current window.
Still, Saha’s comments have reignited debate among supporters, many of whom continue to hope United can attract Europe’s top talents as the club enters a new era.
For now, Bellingham remains fully committed to Real Madrid’s push for further domestic and European honours—but speculation is unlikely to fade as long as admiration from Old Trafford continues
