Browns trade haul for potential Myles Garrett trade.

The Cleveland Browns could look to trade star pass rusher Myles Garrett in a stunning deal.

Garrett requested a trade last offseason, but he opted to sign a massive, lucrative deal instead. However, his name has come back up in trade rumors, and the Browns could look to get a haul for him.

Ahead of the NFL Draft, FanSided’s Ernesto Cova shared a trade pitch that sees the Browns trading Myles Garrett to the Chicago Bears in a haul.

Browns acquire:

2026 first-round pick (25th overall)

2026 second-round pick (60th overall)

2027 first-round pick

DE Dayo Odeyingbo

Bears acquire:

The proposed deal would be a stunning blockbuster as the Browns would get a haul for Garrett to help their rebuild and add more young players to the roster. Chicago, meanwhile, gets Garrett to help their Super Bowl window and vastly improve its defense and pass rush.

A big part of the return for the Browns would be the draft picks, but Dayo Odeyingbo could also help the defensive line. Odeyingbo is 26 years old and is a former second-overall pick. He recorded 21 tackles and 1 sack last season as he was limited to just eight games.

In return, the Browns would give up Garrett and a sixth-round pick. Garrett is the best pass rusher in the NFL, and could go down as one of, if not the best ever. He’s in the midst of a four-year, $160 million deal. Garrett recorded 23 sacks last season.

Analyst Explains Bears-Browns Blockbuster

The proposed deal would be a blockbuster and does make sense for both teams, given where they are at.

Cova believes the Browns need to strike while the iron is hot to trade Garrett and get a haul back for him to help their rebuild.

“The Browns got a pretty decent baseline asking price for a potential Myles Garrett trade with the failed Maxx Crosby trade between the Raiders and Ravens,” Cova wrote. “If he went for two first-round picks and Micah Parsons went for two first-round picks and a starting-caliber player, then the Browns absolutely need to get more for the two-time Defensive Player of the Year. That’s not to say that the Browns should look to trade Garrett by any means, but that type of offer, just like him, only comes once in a lifetime.

“This team is trending in the right direction, but it might not be just one offseason away from being a playoff-caliber squad. Garrett wants to play meaningful football, and trading him might give the Browns the fastest path back to contention. In this scenario, the Browns could probably even land his replacement, like Texas Tech’s David Bailey, and then use picks Nos. 24 and 25 to add a left tackle and a wide receiver. They’d still have two second-round selections to get another pass catcher, or maybe they could go with the best player available.”

Ultimately, whether or not the Browns will look to trade Garrett is to be seen.

Garrett Trade Rumors Swirl

Throughout the offseason, Garrett’s name has been mentioned in trade rumors.

However, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam shot them down as he said he expects Garrett to be apart of the team in 2026.

“We anticipate Myles fully buying in,” Haslam said. “Now let me say, it’s not unusual for Myles not to be in real close contact with us in the offseason. He’s not the kind of guy who’s there all the time or calling every week. That’s just his style, and it’s fine.”

So, for the time being, Garrett will remain a member of the Browns.
