He wants to join: Man Utd must go all out to sign £70m star who's an Amad and Mbeumo hybrid…

Manchester United must ensure they beat Liverpool in what could be a tense transfer battle this summer, for a player who 'dreams' of a move to Old Trafford.

Man United and Liverpool are currently battling in the Premier League to ensure they are both playing Champions League football next season.

Arne Slot's men still have two avenues to do it, in the league and by winning the Champions League. The latter could prove difficult though, as they come up against the holders Paris Saint-Germain next in the quarter-finals.

United can only do it via the Premier League, but caretaker manager Michael Carrick has put them in a great position to do it with seven matches of the season remaining.

The Red Devils are sitting comfortably in third position, six points ahead of the Merseyside club in fifth.

Because of England's strong UEFA coefficient ranking, a top-five finish looks as though it will be enough to qualify for the Champions League for 2026-27.

United and Carrick will be confident of cementing their top-five spot given the form they have been in recent months, which would provide a major boost to their summer transfer business.

Man United Eyeing Iliman Ndiaye Deal

While Man United's main focus in the transfer market is adding two new midfielders to the squad, according to GIVEMESPORT sources, it was reported by a club insider this week that United are considering a summer move for Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye.

The Senegal international has been an impressive performer under David Moyes as the Toffees chase European football next season.

The Merseysiders are only two points adrift of sixth-placed Chelsea in the table in the race for a Europa League spot, with Ndiaye contributing six goals and three assists in 26 Premier League appearances.

Ndiaye is said to see a move to United as his 'dream' transfer, and he could be a player in demand this summer with Liverpool also said to be considering a controversial move to bring him across Merseyside to Anfield.

While the additions of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo last summer improved United's frontline, they will need more depth and quality next season if they do qualify for the Champions League.

Ndiaye fits into United's transfer strategy too, given he has Premier League experience with Everton.

The 26-year-old has also played in Europe for Marseille too though, featuring in the Champions League and the Europa League for L'OM, proving his pedigree.

One report has suggested that the African attacker could be available for around £70m this summer, and United should consider going all out and beating Liverpool to his signature.

After all, he has been labelled as a 'mix of Amad and Mbeumo' by former Red Devils striker Louis Saha, which is a glowing endorsement of his qualities.

If United can sign a hybrid of those two players for £70m, it is surely a no-brainer for INEOS as they look to further strengthen the club's frontline.
