How much space does the current roster have for the rookie class? Nobody plans to spend a draft pick on a guy they will waive with hopes he makes it to the practice squad.
I was turned onto this topic from a comment in my last post. I meant to cover this topic after free agency, but forgot to do it. Well we are here in the valley between free agency and the draft. We can have a roster that evaluates the openings it has. I did a quick charting of it. I made it pretty hard to be a "roster certainty" which bumps the roster openings number up from it's real number that is lower depending on how you feel about certain depth players. I think the real number is somewhere in the 5 or 6 range.
And because the post creator is barely an upgrade over tweeting, I made a chart and screenshot a pic of it. That's where the info is below. Colors make the chart easier to decipher quickly.
