Christen Miller reacts to Travon Walker's monster contract extension with the Jacksonville…

The NFL Network had a special moment on Friday. While interviewing Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller in advance of this month's 2026 NFL Draft, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport shared the breaking news that the Jacksonville Jaguars had signed defensive lineman Travon Walker to a 4-year, $110 million extension, with $77 million guaranteed and $50 million fully guaranteed at signing, making Walker the 12th-highest paid edge defender in the NFL in average salary.

Miller, who trains with Walker and followed him at Georgia, had an on-camera reaction that was equally heartfelt and genuine.

"Hey, hey, look, that's what I call four pockets full. That's four pockets. That's what I call four pockets. He's four pockets full right there," Miller said. That's a blessing, though, man. That's a blessing, man. That's a blessing."

"People don't understand his story. My coach is just talking about that. The first year, he didn't start at Georgia. Second year was in the rotation, but not really a heavy starter. In the third year, he hit the ground running, and from there, he ain't stopped since. He's been a double-digit sack guy in the league. This is a blessing, and that's who I look up to. So like, man, just hearing that, that just get me, that makes me want to go harder. So man, hey, shout out Travon, man. Congrats to you, brother."

In four seasons with the Jaguars, Walker has played in 63 games, with 60 starts, totaling 200 tackles, 36 tackles for loss, 27.5 sacks, 57 quarterback hits, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, one returned for a touchdown, seven pass breakups, and one interception.

The two defensive linemen had similar production during their time at Georgia. From 2019-21, Walker had 65 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, four pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. From 2023-25, Miller had 64 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and one pass breakup.

Miller measured in at 6-foot-4, 321 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine, with 33-inch arms and 10-inch hands. He is considered a top 50 prospect in the draft who will probably be selected early in the second round. The Jaguars made Walker the franchise's second No. 1 overall pick in 2022 after Walker measured in at 6-foot-5, 272 pounds, and clocked an official time of 4.51 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine, the fastest 40 at the combine for a player weighing at least 270 pounds since 2000. He had a 6.89 three-cone time that was faster than all but one wide receiver at the combine, and his arms measured in at 35 1/2" inches.

Walker entered his final season at Georgia with a bang, recording a then-personal-best 4 tackles, including a sack, against Clemson. As the year went along, he raised the bar with a 5-tackle performance against Kentucky and wound up recording sacks in six different games. Walker's performance in the rematch with Alabama featured the most quarterback pressures in the national title game since Daron Payne in 2018.
