**After the cup final loss to Manchester City prior to the international break, the Gunners will have to produce a response in another cup competition when they visit Southampton on Saturday.**

This game might have normally been an opportunity to rotate his team but Mikel Arteta should be aware that after that loss to Manchester City, most Arsenal fans will be eager for a return to Wembley and that should mean a strong line-up being named against the Saints.

Raya has to start this game in goal if we are to take it seriously while Mosquera can partner Gabriel at centre-back.

White can take the right-back spot again while Timber recovers. And the need for some sort of attacking threat on the flanks means this game could be a good chance to start Lewis-Skelly at left-back.

In midfield, the tired Rice and Zubimendi partnership has to be fully rested or at least one of them given a break. Thus, it would be intriguing to see a midfield pairing of Rice and Norgaard with Max Dowman deployed in the number 10 role.

The front three should consist of Madueke, especially since Saka is currently struggling. The in-form Gyokeres, who scored four times during the international break for Sweden, can start up top while Gabriel Jesus gets the nod on the left wing, a role that he has looked decent in before.

**PREDICTED TEAM**

**Raya**

**White – Mosquera – Gabriel – Lewis-Skelly**

**Rice – Norgaad**

**Dowman**

**Madueke – Gyokeres – Jesus**
