CLEVELAND, OHIO (TheOBR.com) - Good morning, Cleveland Browns fans!
It's a Saturday morning, and there's little (believable) news to report this morning. There's continuing noise about the Browns' interest in Ty Simpson, but I'm of the personal belief that it is being stirred up by the team to confuse other teams and increase demand for their own draft picks in case the Jets, for instance, are interested in Simpson. The team is set to begin its off-season program next week, which will be interesting in three days, but it is just a note on the calendar for now.
Draft Analyst Todd McShay seems to get this as well, saying that the Browns are looking to 2027 for their quarterback rather than spending a high pick on a player with question marks coming out of his single season as a starter.
As I mentioned well over a week ago, the Browns are looking for extra bodies to jumpstart the running game, with interest in a fullback and chasing after Patrick Ricard before John Harbaugh snagged him in free agency. But that's not news if you've been reading this Massive Morning Missive, which you should have been, and I'm not listening to excuses as to why you missed that. There are no excuses. You should be starting every damn day with this nonsense.
One of the more heartwarming stories this week involves Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who is pursuing a master's degree at Harvard with the full support of the Cleveland Browns organization while his football future remains in limbo following his serious neck injury. This guy is amazing: smart, talented, ambitious, and a dynamic dresser. I am all those things, too, as I'm sure you are as well. I think my collection of Hawaiian shirts is the envy of most people less sartorially inclined than myself. Match that with whatever pair of sweatpants I can find, and you have a recipe for fashion greatness.

On the broader NFL landscape, ten teams — including the Browns — are set to start their offseason programs next week. Get ready for the first glimpse of the new-look Cleveland roster under the fresh coaching staff.
And two media business items worth noting: the NFL's new rights deals could approach a staggering $16 billion annually, and the league is also expanding digital rights for team-run social media accounts - which may mean they come down on others using TikTok, Threads, and other platforms to display in-game content.
All these big companies. All this media. All this money to spend churning out updates on a single subject. I, meanwhile, am looking to artificial intelligence to help me keep track of it all. So far, that's been a smashing success. Just this morning, my AI-powered system relayed to me news summaries that had Ty Simpson as a Mississippi State quarterback, and the Browns GM as "Barry Berry", conflating the actual GM, a webdork, and a disease. Yep, that's the answer.
Have a good one! GO BROWNS!

OK, alright, I'm more inspired by the Artemis mission than I thought I would be. They're certainly traveling a long distance for humans, especially compared to me, since I largely remain seated in one place. That's one thing I'm good at - if you put me somewhere, I tend to stay in that place. It's things like that which keep the world in balance. Artemis is a powerful display of motion and power. I meanwhile, ad a powerful display of inertness. Balance - it's a basic law of nature, and I'm doing my part.
