“Protecting Criminals” NFL Refuses To Punish Woman Beater, Fans Outraged

The NFL’s decision making when it comes to holding their players accountable for off-the-field actions has been under scrutiny for years. Drug charges, domestic assaults, DUIs, and so many legal issues seem to get their own punishment from the league (or lack there of one).

However, one recent decision by the league has fans completely shocked.

NFL Won’t Punish Rashee Rice After Beating Ex-Girlfriend

According to EPSN’s Adam Schefter:

NFL concluded today that Chiefs WR Rashee Rice “has not engaged in conduct that violates the personal conduct policy” and the investigation into accusations from his former girlfriend is now closed; there will be no discipline at this time.

Statement from his attorney Sean Lindsey: “Mr. Rice wants to thank the NFL for their thorough investigation, and looks forward to the start of the 2026-27 NFL season.”

In February, Rice’s ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit claiming he had physically assaulted her for nearly two years (December 2023 to July 2025). Dacoda Jones, Rice’s ex-girlfriend, claimed she was choked, strangled, and head-butted her. The civil lawsuit still remains and she is seeking $1 million in damages.

The suit later goes on to accuse Rice of the following actions:

Grabbing

Pushing,

Scratching

Striking Jones with inanimate objects

Destroying property

Punching walls

Locking her out of her own home

When fans saw the NFL won’t be punishing Rashee Rice, they immediately reacted online.

Sounds like we need to rethink the personal conduct policy 😭

lol, these leagues are hilarious. Talk about the bible and gay pride and you are out!

This was not the first time Rice was facing punishment. Just last year he was suspended six games stemming from a guilty plea to charges following a 2024 high-speed hit-and-run causing injuries.

Fans are clearly sick of players getting away with off-the-field crimes with little to no punishment.
