He also added that he remains focused on Chelsea’s season for now. The midfielder stressed that he is focused on enjoying his football. He said that he is honoring his long-term deal, which runs until 2031. Although his comments hinted at uncertainty that fans let go so easily.
“I have a contract with Chelsea now. The truth is, I haven’t honestly thought about another club, about leaving London, but well, in the end, you never know in football,” he said.
From a performance point of view, Caicedo remains one of the Blues’ most reliable players despite the team’s struggles. He makes key tackles and interceptions per game for the west London club. This makes him among the top defensive midfielders in the Premier League. His ball recovery numbers and passing accuracy, which shows his importance in controlling games.
However, these remarks come when the west London club can least afford distractions. The club is already dealing with internal tension at the moment. With that, any hint of top players thinking future exits likely adds pressure on the squad.

The situation became worse when Enzo Fernandez openly expressed admiration for Real Madrid. He stated that his interest is in Spain, which got a strong reaction from manager Liam Rosenior. Fernandez’s agent quickly pushed back and called the punishment “completely unfair” towards his client. This has only fueled debate around the club’s internal management.
