Manchester, England – Manchester City achieved a resounding victory over Liverpool with a score of four goals to nil, in the match that brought them together in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the 2025-2026 season, at the Etihad Stadium.
The Sky Blues dominated the match, with Norwegian star Erling Haaland opening the scoring in the 40th minute from a penalty kick, before adding a second goal seven minutes later, thanks to a decisive pass from Antoine Simeone.
At the start of the second half, Manchester City continued their dominance, with Simeone scoring the third goal in the 50th minute with a well-placed shot, before Haaland concluded the goal fest by scoring the fourth goal in the 58th minute, after an organized attack that he finished with a powerful shot into the net.
In contrast, Liverpool failed to reduce the deficit, despite being awarded a penalty in the 64th minute, but Egyptian international Mohamed Salah missed it after a remarkable save by the goalkeeper.
The match saw Egyptian Omar Marmoush participate as a substitute in the second half by decision of coach Pep Guardiola, but his participation in the final minutes did not result in any goals.
