Myles Lewis-Skelly is a defender for Arsenal F.C. who plays as a left back. The 19-year-old broke into the first team in the 2024-25 season. Not only did he just get some senior minutes, but also he established his position. He made his debut against Man City in the Premier League and got his first team football experience.
Since that day, he atleast made the bench for every Arsenal games. From October 2024, he started to get regular senior team minutes. In that season, he played 39 matches for Arsenal. Within that 39 games, he played 23 in the Premier League. He is also versatile enough to play in the central midfield position.
But times did change for Myles Lewis-Skelly at Arsenal. In summer 2024, the Gunners bought Ricardo Calafiori for €43.7m and in summer 2025, they bought Piero Hincapie on loan with an clause to make it permanently for €52m. There has been no news about the player’s price tag or asking value. Man United are very active in the market to sign a left back who will give competition to Luke Shaw. The club will do the needful to compete for trophies in the next season.

Myles Lewis-Skelly is not the one and only name that Man United is monitoring. A European powerhouse like them cannot enter into the market relying on one football player. There are names of left backs in Europe that are being discussed by United hierarchy.
Samuel Dahl of Benfica is one such name. The Swedish was bought by the Portuguese side from Roma for €9m. He has been reportedly scouted 10 times this season by United professionals. Multiple reports have stated that United are also keeping tabs on Crystal Palace’s Tyrick Mitchell, Fulham’s Antonee Robinson and David Raum of German side, RB Leipzig.
If Myles Lewis-Skelly has made his mind of leaving the Gunners, then he should sign for a club where he will get guaranteed regular minutes. The other option which he can pursue is to train hard, wait for his chance and prove his worth to the manager. A youngster generally starts from the bench at the early stage of his career.
