History

CONWAY, S.C. – Georgia State Men's Tennis met with Sun Belt Conference foe James Madison on the campus of Coastal Carolina on Saturday morning, battling the Dukes before eventually falling by a final score of 4-0.

After dropping their first line doubles matchup, the Panthers were able to pull even courtesy of a thrilling 7-5 victory from second line pair Cem Atlamis and Arthur Attrill. The doubles point, however, would go to the Dukes, as they captured a 7-5 tiebreaker on court three to clinch a 7-6 win over GSU's Gustav Andersson and Sota Minami.

Minami was able to keep his streak of strong singles performances alive, blanking his sixth line opponent 6-0 before the second set was abandoned. James Madison made quick work of lines one, two, and four capturing straight set wins to close out the 4-0 win.

The Panthers will finish out the regular season with a true road match against their weekend hosts from Coastal Carolina on Sunday at noon.
