Broncos named as landing spot for All-Pro receiver from Falcons to replace Evan Engram

The Denver Broncos might not be as all-in as a team like the Los Angeles Rams, but they are adding a ton of talent to the offensive side of the ball with the blockbuster Jaylen Waddle trade.

They've yet to sign an outside free agent, with the majority of their moves being re-signings. But, more additions could be on the horizon, especially at the tight end position with a shaky Evan Engram in the starting lineup.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton named the Broncos as a possible landing spot for Engram's replacement in second-team All-Pro Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts. This would be a fun move, and a realistic one for Denver to make as well.

Broncos named as landing spot for Kyle Pitts

"What if the Broncos aren't done dealing yet? ...Perhaps Broncos offensive-minded head coach Sean Payton can unlock Pitts' full potential in a revamped offense," Moton writes.

The Broncos swinging a trade for Pitts wouldn't be too outlandish a scenario, as they've shown a willingness to make trades, and could easily do so if they want Pitts to start over Engram.

Last year, Engram struggled to be a consistently valued target for Bo Nix. Pitts, on the other hand, had one of the better years of his career, earning his first All-Pro nod with a second-team All-Pro consideration.

In 2025, Pitts, despite shaky quarterback play from Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins, put up a strong 928 receiving yards and five touchdowns by catching 88 of 118 targets in 17 games.

This past season was only beaten by his rookie year, when he had 1,026 yards and one touchdown on 68 receptions across 110 targets. He had more yards, but his TD production in 2025 is exactly what the Broncos need.

They've missed a red-zone threat like Pitts, who can also be a high-volume target from the tight end position. Engram was supposed to be that, but he caught just 50 passes for 461 yards and one touchdown last season.

Pitts coming to the Broncos would make a lot of sense, as Moton named Denver as a possible landing spot if the Falcons decide to trade their veteran tight end.
