Report: Man Utd scouts identify Bayern Munich wonderkid as a potential signing, blown away by his technique

Manchester United look certain to bolster the left-wing ranks this summer, and now the latest wide player linked is Maycon Cardozo.

This season, the change back to a formation with wingers has exposed Manchester United’s lack of options on the left flank.

As a result, United are considering several potential signings for this position. There is also a strong chance that JJ Gabriel steps up for United next season to some degree.

Now, joining the list of targets is Bayern Munich wonderkid Maycon Cardozo.

The 17-year-old is committed to Bayern, having signed a contract, but United are tracking him closely should the opportunity to sign him arise.

United have been impressed with Cardozo’s technical ability, rapid progression, and his versatility.

This summer, United are also interested in Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig as a talent who could be an immediate starter. While there is also interest in Iliman Ndiaye. While the third left-wing option sees United linked with Said El Mala.

But Cardozo is almost certainly more of an option for the future.

Who is United target Maycon Cardozo?

Cardozo is an exciting talent, and despite playing for Bayern Munich, he was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The 17-year-old lived in Thailand for most of his upbringing, where he represented Chainat Youth, Ratchabury Youth, and BCC before being spotted and signed up by Bayern’s global academy.

Cardozo then moved to Germany, before quickly rising through the ranks from under-17 to first-team.

As a player, he is right-footed and capable on either winger which has set him apart within the Bayern ranks.

Probably more a signing to keep an eye on over the coming years than right now.
