Manchester United are eyeing a blockbuster move to tempt Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni to Old Trafford this summer, according to Sport.
The Red Devils are preparing for a mega overhaul of their midfield options, with Casemiro leaving at the end of his contract this summer, while Manuel Ugarte is expected to move on amid limited game time, and Bruno Fernandes is understood to be 'seriously considering leaving', with a huge offer on the table from Saudi Arabia.
But while INEOS are understood to be prioritising a move for Premier League-proven talent such as Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson, the France international has now also emerged as a target.

Tchouameni, who has been described as 'the best defensive midfielder in the world', has been a regular at Real Madrid since his mega-money move from Ligue 1 side Monaco back in 2022.
The 26-year-old still has two years remaining on his contract at the Bernabeu, which includes a €1bn release clause, but it's understood that Man Utd view him as the 'ideal piece to reinforce their midfield', and Sport report, via Sport Witness, that they are considering an 'important offer' to bring the player to the Premier League.
However, Real Madrid are not currently open to his exit and instead are planning on handing Tchouameni a new three-year extension to his contract, which would take him into his thirties with the club.
Having been a key player under every Real Madrid manager since he joined the club, it's believed that Tchouameni is happy at Madrid and not looking to leave, making any potential move to Man Utd very complicated and highly unlikely. But it is noted that the midfield star is represented by the same agency as current United forward Bryan Mbeumo, which may help if either party were to open up to a move.
Tchouameni Would Be Perfect Casemiro Replacement

When Casemiro left Real Madrid, it was Tchouameni that the La Liga side signed to replace him in their starting lineup. Now Man Utd could well do the same at Old Trafford, and it would be the perfect deal.
With all of his incredible qualities on the ball, it's his positioning off the ball and his ability to read the game that make him one of the best in his position, and he would be able to step into the Brazilian's shoes once more.
Any deal would be expensive, but with United having money to spend, they couldn't spend it any better than on the France star.
