Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital currently own Chelsea and Strasbourg through their company BlueCo.
BlueCo’s multi-club ownership has been heavily criticised, especially by Strasbourg supporters, who have watched Chelsea snatch Liam Rosenior, Emanuel Emegha and Mamadou Sarr from them in the same season.
Sarr was only loaned to Strasbourg after Chelsea signed the defender from the French club last year, but they decided to recall him in the middle of the campaign after failing to sign a centre-back during the January transfer window.

BlueCo looking to buy clubs from Portugal and the US
Despite all of the criticism that Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have received, the two Chelsea owners have no plans to change their strategy.
Things had gone quiet on that front, but journalist Simon Phillips has now claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that BlueCo are stepping up their efforts again to add two more clubs to their portfolio.
According to Phillips, they are currently looking at one club from the Portuguese league and another from MLS.

Chelsea’s spending under BlueCo has also been scrutinised, and not just the amount that they have spent on transfers.
This season, Chelsea have spent the most money on agent fees, putting them back in the spotlight after they were recently fined for making secret payments under former owner Roman Abramovich.
Chelsea will benefit if BlueCo find another Strasbourg
It is easy to understand why Strasbourg fans are unhappy about being under BlueCo’s umbrella, though they have become a much better team since being taken over. They are constantly at risk of losing their best players to Chelsea.
From Chelsea’s perspective, having Strasbourg as a sister club is benefiting them. And if they can add another club to their group, that is also going to help them in the future.
Strasbourg developed Andrey Santos really well, for example, with the Brazilian now an important player for the Blues. At some point, Chelsea could also add the likes of Valentin Barco and Joaquin Panichelli to their squad, two extremely talented young players.
They do not have to worry about competition from other clubs, as they are effectively doing business with themselves.
