Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has been linked with a move to Chelsea on more than one occasion this season.
Vinicius Jr’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu expires next year, meaning that Real Madrid may have no choice but to sell one of their best players this summer if he does not put pen to paper on a new deal.
And once again, there is speculation about a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.

In January, it was claimed that Chelsea were demanding Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid in a potential deal for Enzo Fernandez.
According to TEAMtalk, intermediaries have now reached out to Chelsea to make them aware that Vinicius Jr could be available in the next transfer window.
It is thought that Chelsea’s Premier League rivals Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool have also been contacted.
It was a slow start to the season for Vinicius Jr, but the Brazilian picked up as soon as Alvaro Arbeloa replaced Xabi Alonso as manager.
Under Alonso, Vinicius Jr scored seven goals in 33 appearances. Under Arbeloa, he has scored 11 goals in just 17 outings. Had Alonso remained at the Bernabeu, Vinicius Jr probably would be pushing for a move.
For now, it seems as though the Brazil international is just keeping his options open.
Three barriers that could prevent Chelsea from signing Vinicius Jr this summer
Signing Vinicius Jr from Real Madrid will not be an easy operation, and not just because of potential interest from other clubs who are better than Chelsea.
As well as that, Chelsea’s very own transfer policy could stop them from making a move for the Real Madrid attacker.
The Blues’ preference under their current ownership has been to sign young players with potential instead of ready-made superstars like Vinicius Jr.
Vinicius Jr’s price tag could also be a problem, while Chelsea are definitely not going to offer the kind of wages a player of his calibre demands. Their wage structure is very strict these days, making it difficult to imagine how Vinicius Jr will fit into it.
