The 49ers' trade for Odighizuwa received universal praise, with one exec saying, "That was a good get and a total upgrade."

San Francisco made a few fun moves, like the Evans and Greenlaw signings. But, of their moves thus far in the 2026 offseason, the Odighizuwa trade is the best the 49ers made.
He has 17 sacks in his NFL career, and at just 27 years old, the pass-rushing interior defensive lineman should be a huge pickup for the 49ers defense.
They might still need better edge rusher help, but with Odighizuwa and the rest of their interior defensive lineman, the 49ers can focus solely on wide receiver, edge, and defensive back in the NFL Draft, the trade market, and free agency.
