The Kelce family is considered one of the most prominent families in the NFL currently. Travis Kelce has established himself as a serial winner for the Kansas City Chiefs, and is a great tight end. His elder brother Jason Kelce was also a great player for the Philadelphia Eagles, playing as a center.
The Kelce brothers still bond over little things, and enjoy childhood banter between them. Recently, their mother had to intervene between them.
The Kelce brothers are known for their heroics on the field, but also for their popular “New Heights” podcast. They often speak about different matters on the podcast, and many entertaining moments get viral with lots of jokes and banter between them. Recently, one of their friendly challenges got a little serious.

They had a heated disagreement over a March Madness bracket challenge. It happened during the latest episode of their podcast, with the 2026 NCAA Tournament advancing towards the Final Four.
It arose when Travis noticed that Jason was filling out his own bracket during the show while he had already submitted his bracket. He accused his older brother of gaining an unfair edge by observing the discussion before committing to his picks. He said, “Pretty upset that I let it get to this point. But just got to do better in life, and you got to understand the circumstances better, and you got to understand that your brother is going to go out and cheat.”
The podcast’s official Instagram account posted the video, and asked in the comments who was in the right and who was wrong. Surprisingly, the Kelce brothers’ own mother Donna [commented](https://x.com/cryeyesviolet_/status/2040072583001813038?s=20), “Jason has been known to create advantages over the years!!!!” Travis then said in the comments, “I rest my case, the comments have spoken, jason must be disqualified…” It was a fun little interaction that brought together the family, as if they were in their childhood once more.
During an ESPN media session, Jason was once asked why his younger brother is known for wearing shorts. He said, “He was the crazy guy. I think we both were pretty reckless whenever the snow was falling in Cleveland.”
He added that Travis’ nickname in the neighborhood was Charles Barkley after the legendary NBA player, “He also told the entire block that his name was Charles because his favorite basketball player was Charles Barkley. We found out at a block party because all the other parents were like, ‘there goes Charles,’. That’s the kind of kid Travis was. He was always living up to all his sports idols for sure.”
Travis and Jason Kelce will continue to have their fun moments both on and off the field.
