Tottenham to compete with Chelsea & Atletico Madrid for 14 G/A striker who has struggled for…

Tottenham recently appointed Roberto De Zerbi as their head coach.

Tottenham Hotspur have had their fair share of offensive problems this season, and those problems have translated on the pitch as the Lilywhites stare at a possible drop into the Championship going into the final stretch of the season.

The offensive problems at Hotspur Way start from their striker, with none of the #9s finding that run of form in front of goal.

Tottenham have bit of a #9 crisis

You start with Dominic Solanke, who has struggled to replicate his form at Bournemouth since he moved to Tottenham. Whilst he was initially intended to fill that Harry Kane role at N17, injury problems meant that he barely got that run into eleven. There are reports of Newcastle wanting him when summer comes around, and if his form stays the same from here on till the end of the season, then maybe Spurs could think about giving him a go for another season; if not, he could be out the doors at Hotspur Way.

Then comes Richarlison. Richy has been showing a bit of form this season. He has been a chaos for opponents’ defence, and he has finally looked a bit like himself from Everton. But even he has been down with a lot of injuries in his time at Tottenham, and he is also likely to leave Spurs when summer comes around.

And lastly comes Kolo Randal Muani. Muani joined Tottenham on loan on the deadline day in summer, but he has also struggled to show any sense of output. At this point it is highly unlikely that Tottenham would opt to have him at N17 in the 2026/27 season.

This opens up a striking place at Spurs, and it looks like they are already looking for a possible #9 who can come in as a marquee signing in the summer.

Tottenham eyeing marquee move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos

According to recent reports from TeamTalk, Spurs have been looking at a move to bring Paris Saint-Germain striker Gonçalo Ramos in the summer with the Portuguese falling down the pecking order under Luis Enrique.

The 14 G/A (across all competitions), 24-year-old moved to the French capital in a £70m move from Benfica in 2023 but has only started one-third of PSG’s games in the French top tier this season.

The aforementioned report states that Tottenham have been kept informed about Ramos’ availability. The North Londoner knows about the player’s openness to moving to England and could use that to move for him in the summer.

But alongside Spurs, the duo of Chelsea and Newcastle United have also been highly linked with the Portuguese, and they could possibly try to pounce on his signing in the summer.

But it is not only the Premier League clubs that are interested. AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund have all been keeping tabs on the transfer development.

If Tottenham are to sign him, they will need to start laying grounds early especially given the lack of European football at N17.
