Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold and his fiancée Katie Hoofnagle were officially married on Friday, April 3, and the guest list included an A-list tally of NFL players and their significant others. The two got engaged in July 2025, when Darnold proposed to Hoofnagle amid a beachside backdrop in Dana Point, California, and they shared the moment on social media.
So, these two planned their wedding within a year, and now, they’ve officially tied the knot. Hoofnagle shared the news on her Instagram stories, showing a photo off with her wedding ring captioned, “I have a husband now, btw.”

On Sunday, April 5, People magazine shared a report of who was at Darnold’s wedding. According to the report, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife Hailee Steinfeld were at the event, just days after welcoming in their new baby girl. In addition, people magazine reports that San Francisco 49ers star Christian McCaffrey and his wife, Olivia Culpo, were also there, as were Seahawks’ Cooper Kupp and his wife, Anna Marie Kupp and 49ers’ Christian Kirk.
So, that’s a major round of 49ers players at the wedding, plus a few from the Seahawks and Bills. Darnold was with the 49ers in 2023, which is why he knows players from that team. That had to be a somewhat uncomfortable exchange, though, after the Seahawks sacked it to the 49ers earlier this year.
A source told People magazine that at the wedding, Allen and his wife Steinfeld were “so sweet on the dance floor, clearly having a blast.”
“People were politely congratulating them on their baby girl, and they were very kind,” the insider added, also saying that Allen and Darnold’s teammates helped the couple with their “crowd surfing for quite a bit of the night.”

After the Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl in February, Hoofnagle took to social media to congratulate her then future husband. Her message was clear: He deserved this after years of fighting for respect in the NFL.

In moments where it would’ve been so easy to make excuses or put the blame on somebody else, you never wavered,” she said in the post. “Your patience, respect, discipline and humility have continuously shone through, even on the hardest days of the journey.”
She added, “It’s an honor and a privilege to share you with the world on Sundays, and I’m so grateful that you finally got your flowers on the biggest stage. as long as I’m alive, you’ll always have someone who is proud of you in everything that you do.”
