Sporting director Andrea Berta has allegedly met with the player’s camp to get ahead of other clubs like Manchester United. While Leão is still a fan favourite at the San Siro, the Italian club seem ready to listen to offers because of his recent injuries and their own need to rebuild the squad.
Do Arsenal truly require Rafael Leão for the 2026/27 campaign?
To be honest, I think Arsenal should be careful here, even if Leão’s pace and dribbling skills are incredibly tempting. The winger has 10 goals and 2 assists in 27 games across all competitions so far in the 2025/26 season. Those are solid numbers, but he has a habit of disappearing in games, and his recent calf and adductor injuries are a bit of a red flag for a league as fast as the Premier League.

While Leão might have a higher ceiling physically, €80 million is a massive investment for a player who doesn’t always track back. A move might happen if Milan go as low as €70 million, but the Gunners could probably find better value in a more consistent player who stays fit.
