Liverpool and Chelsea‘prepared to offer’ €60m+ for signing – Wants move to Anfield

Yan Diomande

Barcelona are aware of Liverpool and Chelsea interest in RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande for the summer.

The winger’s development at the Bundesliga side have seen Liverpool, Chelsea, Barca and several other clubs take notice.

Leipzig signed him from CD Leganés in July 2025 for €20m, and he has already starred this season.

To put it in context, Diomande has scored 11 goals and contributed eight assists from 30 matches so far.

His Bundesliga stats this season are as follows:

Appearances: 27

Starts: 22

Total minutes: 1,958

Expected Goals: 6.05

Expected Assists: 7.43

Big chances created: 11

Big chances missed: 5

Goal conversion: 23%

The Ivory Coast international’s rise in Germany has already caught Liverpool, Chelsea and Barcelona’s attention. In January, he issued a come-and-get-me-plea to Arne Slot’s side by expressing his desire to move to Anfield.

At that time, he said: “I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a huge Liverpool fan. My dad dreams of seeing me play at Anfield!”

Liverpool and Chelsea keen

Sport report Barcelona’s interest in Yan Diomande, as part of their plan to strengthen their attack next season.

The Catalan club’s scouts have followed him from his time at Leganés, and his displays this season have seen his price rise to €70m.

Two months ago, Sport Witness covered claims from Germany that RB Leipzig could want as much as €100m.

Either way, the €70m price is also too high for Hansi Flick’s side. For now, there are no options for his arrival as several Premier League sides, ‘especially Liverpool and Chelsea’, are ‘prepared to offer’ over €60m.

It didn’t stop the Spanish giants from making an approach to ask about his situation and the conditions needed to sign him.

Barca want to position themselves, but a move is only possible if one of their existing attackers were to receive an offer they can’t refuse. In that case, the Blaugrana would try to sign the 19-year-old.

Both Liverpool and Chelsea, on the other hand, don’t seem to have any concerns if the price is around €60-70m.

Our take: Reds have edge over Chelsea

Mohamed Salah has already confirmed his decision to leave Anfield after this season. Liverpool have to bring in a replacement and Yan Diomande, who mainly operates on the right wing, is identified as a target.

On March 26th, Sport Witness relayed news that Liverpool are looking to make a move for the RB Leipzig star. Sport now mention Chelsea are also preparing to make an offer.

The attacker has publicly stated he wants to play for the Merseyside club. This gives Liverpool a clear advantage over other Chelsea or any other club, provided the Reds are keen on securing his services.
