Newcastle United fans have told NewcastleWorld how much their club should demand for Sandro Tonali.
Newcastle United should demand a minimum of £100million for Sandro Tonali this summer.
That’s the fee quoted by the majority of our NewcastleWorld readers after we asked how much Tonali is worth in today’s market.
We recently broke the story that Tonali, and those around him, believe a gentleman's agreement allows the player to leave this summer, if the Magpies, who sit 12th in the Premier League table with seven matches to go, do not qualify for Europe.
And that, in part, probably explains why the player’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, has been very vocal in recent months, much to the annoyance of the club and its supporters.
Tonali was linked with a January deadline day move to Arsenal, while Manchester United and Manchester City have also been credited with interest.
While Newcastle have vehemently denied that there is an agreement in place, the prospect of Tonali, or other players for that matter, being sold was not ruled out by David Hopkinson last week. It would, however, be on the club’s terms, according to the CEO.
Newcastle United should demand £100m-plus for Sandro Tonali
Simon William: Personally, we do everything to keep him. If he wants to leave, we play hard ball and we say 120m+ to a prem club, 100m+ to a European side. Not a penny less.
Ian Parkin: Don’t want to sell under any circumstances but if he really wants to go then it must be on the clubs terms and price starts at £125 million and paid in full with a percentage sell on clause too make it hard for anyone who wants to buy him just like all other clubs do to us.
Lindsay Hodgson: I would want at AT LEAST 125million if Tonali WANTED TO LEAVE but I'd prefer to keep Sandro and the rest of our best players to build a world-class squad.
Nivag Reworrah: Starting at 100 million Rice went for that 3 years ago would take less money from a foreign team if he really has his mind made up .. can't help think some players have been sold a dream that's taken longer that they were told when signing
Paul Carr: Unless he wants to go, I wouldn't sell him.I wouldn't keep a player that wants to move, either. If he wants to go it's £100 million plus.
Mick Embleton: Caicedo and Enzo Chelsea both cost 100+ and he has all the qualities they have.. so as Bruce said on play your cards right “ Higher”
Tony Club: Every player has a price, today's market 110mill+
David Coulthard: Wouldn’t sell him. However if he did leave £100m
Matty Goosey: Would not sell him but if he wants to go then 130m
Brian Thompson: Woltemade was 68million so must be 30 to 40 more.
