United are expected to reward Maguire with an initial one-year contract extension, with the option of another year at the club's discretion. Mainoo is set to sign an improved deal that will keep him at the club for another five years on a more lucrative wage than he is currently on. There is hope that both contracts will be announced over the coming weeks, with just seven matches left of the Premier League campaign.

Romano: Maguire and Mainoo deals almost done
Speaking in his latest YouTube video over the weekend, notorious transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano issued an update on the future of both Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo.
Romano reiterated news of their imminent contract renewals and claimed that both deals were 'almost done' ahead of their official announcement before the end of the season.
“Manchester United, with Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo returning from the national team, are now prepared to accelerate and formally close both new contracts for the players before the World Cup," Romano said. "This is the mission, before the end of the season, sign everything.
"With Kobbie Mainoo 2031 and with Harry Maguire to extend for one season until 2027, plus an option for one more year. The negotiation is already very advanced with Kobbie Mainoo, it is almost done with Harry Maguire, who will sign soon. Man United plan to announce everything before the end of the season. This is the club's wish, now working with the player's camp, everything is advancing very well."
