### **Rankings and Analysis**

[Pro Football Focus: No. 10 overall (No. 1 WR)](https://www.pff.com/ncaa/players/carnell-tate/170273) _"Tate offers one of the highest floors among true juniors, thanks to strong hands and a consistently reliable track record as a blocker. His understanding of route running and releases is already NFL-caliber, and if he continues to add functional strength, he has the potential to become an impact receiver at the next level."_

_"Tate is a tall, long wideout with better play speed than timed speed and outstanding production. He has excellent suddenness to defeat press coverage, and he covers ground quickly with his long stride. He attacks the defender's leverage when they play him in off coverage…Overall, Tate should provide an immediate impact in the vertical passing game."_

_"Tate is a smooth, efficient receiver who consistently finds ways to get open. He excels at locating and exploiting soft spots in zone coverage and is a polished route runner who knows how to attack a defensive back's leverage. Tate isn't afraid to add tempo to his route and while he is not overly explosive, he can stick his foot in the ground and make crisp cuts at the top of his routes."_
