We started with 16 plays, and we’ve whittled it down to two. It’s time to vote in the championship match of the Caleb Madness Bracket, where you, the Bears fan, vote for Caleb Williams best play of the year.
Our final matchup pits DJ Moore’s game-winning touchdown in overtime against the Green Bay Packers against Cole Kmet’s game-tying touchdown against the LA Rams in the divisional round.
As we have in all these articles, we’ll present you with each play and then the link to the tweet to vote for it. I don’t think anyone really needs to watch videos of either of these plays. I would assume at this point, they play in a loop in your brain daily, as they do for me, but here is the final matchup in the Caleb Madness Bracket.
Game-Tying Heave to Cole Kmet vs Rams
The only way that could make this play better is if the Bears had ended up winning the game. Everything else about this is absolutely insane. It’s so damn improbable. It still defies logic that it happened. Had the Bears won this game, I think this play eclipses “The Catch” as the greatest non-Super Bowl play in NFL history.
Game Winner to DJ Moore in OT vs Packers
We certainly thought this was going to be the throw of the year, but at the time, we didn’t know what Caleb Williams had in store for us in the playoffs. Tom Brady called this his favorite throw of the year, a brilliant throw to Moore in the perfect spot that tops off an incredible come-from-behind victory against the Bears’ rivals in overtime.
And of course, to determine Caleb Williams’ best play of the year, you can vote on this matchup right here:
