Manchester United have announced the 25-man traveling squad for the Republic of Ireland training camp and there are some notable stories.
Michael Carrick is set to take Man Utd to a four-day training camp, from April 6th to April 9th, in Ireland.
United’s elimination from the FA Cup, and non-participation in the UEFA Champions League led to an extra free week.
Carrick chose to get the players up to speed with a “high intensity” training camp in Ireland, the squad for which has some notable inclusions and absentees.

Midfielders: Mason Mount, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Manuel Ugarte, Kobbie Mainoo, Jim Thwaites.
Forwards: Matheus Cunha, Joshua Zirkzee, Amad, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, Victor Musa.
Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton miss out due to illness, while Dorgu will continue his rehab with the team in Ireland, in a boost for the club.
Lisandro Martinez has also been included in a fitness boost, and he will hope to be available for the Leeds game on the 13th.
Notable inclusions are Victor Musa, Jim Thwaites, and Yuel Helafu, while Shea Lacey has recovered from his injury but misses out.
United feel it would be best for Lacey to stay back and play at Old Trafford against Real Madrid for the U21s in the PL International Cup fixture.
The same reason can be attributed to Chido Obi’s omission, and as a result, Victor Musa’s inclusion, because United see that game against Real Madrid as a marquee one for the youngsters.
Carrick’s side aren’t expected to play any public friendlies during the camp, but the time together away will undoubtedly put them in better shape to play against Leeds.
Leeds have already got up to speed with a FA Cup win against West Ham to qualify for the semi-finals, so United need to get sharp and match-fit quickly.
