The Dolphins are hosting star cornerback Mansoor Delane on a Top 30 visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft
The Miami Dolphins have put a lot of pressure on themselves to deliver in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. After shedding an enormous amount of talent so far this offseason, the Dolphins are going to need to nail as many draft picks as possible in order to ensure that their rebuild gets off on the right foot.
Easily the most important picks for Miami will come in the first round. Armed with the No. 11 and No. 30 selections, the Dolphins will be looking to bring a pair of immediate contributors to town. One of the top players in this draft class is LSU Tigers cornerback Mansoor Delane, and it looks like Miami’s new-look front office wants to get more information on him before the draft gets underway.

The easiest way to describe the Dolphins’ roster right now is that it needs help at pretty much every position. With that in mind, Miami will almost certainly be using the No. 11 pick on the best player available, and you can make a case that it should employ a similar mindset when it’s on the clock again later in the first round with the No. 30 pick.
As for the first selection, one of the best options available could be Delane, a speedy cornerback from LSU. In his first, and only, season with the team, Delane racked up 45 tackles, two interceptions, and 11 pass breakups, with his lockdown coverage earning him All-American honors for the first time in his collegiate career.
Right now, the Dolphins’ depth chart at cornerback is pretty uninspiring, as Darrell Baker Jr., Alex Austin, and Jason Marshall Jr. are leading the way at this spot. With that in mind, Miami could certainly benefit from adding Delane and tasking him with locking down one side of the field, and it seems like that is what it is considering doing, as the team is bringing him to town for a Top 30 visit on Monday.

With two first-round picks at their disposal, the Dolphins can do pretty much whatever they want in the draft. If they really like a certain player, they could make an aggressive move up the board without batting an eye. Or, if they want even more draft capital, they could trade back again. Given the state of the roster, though, the best course of action may be to simply use these two picks in an effort to improve the team.
Delane is widely regarded as the top cornerback prospect in this draft class, and he may very well be one of the safer bets in the entire draft. Again, Miami is likely going to select the best player available when it is on the clock with the No. 11 pick, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Delane find his way to the Dolphins when all is said and done.
