With Jesse Minter taking over as Baltimore’s head coach, the Ravens’ off-season workout program begins today.
“With Jesse Minter taking over as Baltimore’s head coach, the Ravens’ off-season workout program begins today.” Schefter wrote on his official X account.
Among names who are at the offseason workouts are Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers, Malaki Starks, Roquan Smith, Trey Hendrickson, and Mark Andrews.
With a new era beginning in Baltimore, this could be a good sign with the star players showing that they are bought in. With a new coaching staff, the Baltimore Ravens could look special in 2026.
2025 Was Rough for the Baltimore Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens 2025 season left a lot to be desired, but the team still has some game-changing talent on both sides of the ball.
Baltimore’s 2025 season was riddled with injuries and inconsistency from the team. The Ravens finished 2025 with an 8-9 record. For the past two years, the Ravens have struggled on the defensive side of the ball.
Under defensive coordinator Zach Orr, the Ravens ranked 24th in total defense during the 2025 season. Baltimore was the 10th ranked defense against the run. They were the 30th ranked defense against the pass. Defensively, the Ravens had trouble generating pressure with a 30% pass rush win rate in 2025. According to ESPN, the win rate ranked 28th in the league.
In a heartbreaking loss, the Ravens fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 of the 2025 season. The team missed the playoffs off a Tyler Loop missed kick.
The Baltimore Ravens Remain Talented
All-Pro Safety Kyle Hamilton will have the opportunity to work with new head coach Jesse Minter. Minter spoke on how much of an impact Hamilton has on this Ravens squad.
“Kyle is a weapon,” Minter said during his introductory press conference. “He’s a positionless defensive player. I could not be more thrilled to be able to work with Kyle. I know he’s excited and I’m excited to work with all the great players in this organization.”
Minter, a defensive minded head coach was hired by the Baltimore Ravens on January 22nd, 2026. Minter previously served as the Los Angeles Chargers‘ defensive coordinator in 2025.
Walking onto a team with a two-time NFL MVP is a huge flex. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to OTAs after new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle challenged the team to buy in to his system.
“We would expect them to be here and certainly it is voluntary,” Doyle said. “But also, if you want to say that you’re going to win a championship, you want to say that you have championship standards and those are your goals and your expectations, certainly that’s going to take work. That’s going to take collaboration, that’s going to take the beginning of building the relationship with their coaches [and] other players, starting off this next regime on the right foot.”
From the looks of it, Doyle got his wish. It’s an even greater sign that the leaders of the team answered the call.
