Former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim reportedly has no plans to return to management despite being linked with both Benfica and Juventus.
The Portuguese tactician remains out of work after leaving United in January, following a disappointing stint at Old Trafford that lasted just over 12 months and resulted in 25 wins from 63 matches.
United appointed Michael Carrick as Amorim’s replacement until the end of the season and have enjoyed a positive run of results, recording seven wins in 10 games, and look well-placed to qualify for the Champions League.
It is believed that it cost almost £27m for United to hire and fire Amorim, who left with a £10m payoff as his contract was due to run until 2027.

According to The Sun, Amorim has no immediate plans to return to management and has been enjoying time off with his family since returning to Portugal following his United exit in January.
The 41-year-old reportedly sees a return to the dugout as not a priority at the moment, despite being linked with roles at both Benfica and Juventus in recent weeks.
Portuguese media claimed Amorim has emerged as a contender to replace his mentor Jose Mourinho at Benfica if the former Chelsea boss leaves.
Mourinho has been touted for the Portugal national team job, as Roberto Martinez’s contract expires after this summer’s World Cup.
According to The Sun, Juventus contacted Amorim’s representatives shortly after his Man Utd sacking in January, but it appears the Portuguese is no longer in the running for the job, as Luciano Spalletti looks set to sign an extension.
Amorim spent four years at Sporting prior to his Man Utd appointment, winning the Portuguese league title twice and three domestic cups.

Man Utd finished 15th in Amorim’s first season at the club – registering their lowest top-flight finish since they were relegated from Division One in 1974.
The Red Devils did reach the Europa League final in May but lost 1-0 against Tottenham and subsequently missed out on a place in Europe for the first time since 2014-15.
Amorim won only 15 of his 47 Premier League games at Old Trafford, giving him a win ratio of 31.9% – the lowest of any permanent United manager in the Premier League.
The Portuguese manager spent £216m in his only summer at the club, welcoming Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha and Senne Lammens, while Patrick Dorgu and Ayden Heaven arrived in the 2025 winter transfer market.
