The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to address their offensive tackle depth this offseason, especially after Tristan Wirfs and Luke Goedeke combined to miss 11 games last season. Meanwhile, the depth weakened after Charlie Heck joined the Miami Dolphins, leaving them with two backups under contract: Ben Chukwuma and Marshall Foerner. Chukwuma, whom the Buccaneers are very high on, started two games and logged 151 offensive snaps as a rookie, while Foerner has yet to appear in a regular-season game.

According to Greg Auman of FOX Sports, the Buccaneers have signed Justin Skule to a contract. For a quick refresher, he was a key backup from 2022 to 2024, including serving as the swing tackle in 2024 and starting five games. Skule will compete against Ben Chukwuma for the swing tackle role.

The Minnesota Vikings signed Justin Skule to a one-year, $2 millon contract last March. He began the 2025 season as the swing tackle and, due to injuries to Christian Darrisaw and Brian O’Neill, saw the most playing time and starts of his career. Skule allowed 26 pressures, 16 hurries, six quarterback hits, and seven sacks across 16 games, including nine starts, and accounting for 578 offensive snaps.
