The Arizona Cardinals hosted Texas Tech wide receiver Reggie Virgil for a pre-NFL Draft visit on Monday, he posted on Instagram.
Virgil is coming off his first season with Texas Tech after spending his first three with Miami (Ohio).
The 6-foot-3, 187-pound wideout recorded 57 receptions for 705 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games played last year. He added two more scores and 35 yards on a pair of carries.
He then posted a 4.57-second 40-yard dash and a 36-inch vertical at the NFL Draft Combine.
Virgil is being viewed as a Day 3 pick this NFL Draft. ESPN analyst Matt Miller’s seven-round mock draft posted on March 30 has Virgil going in the fifth round (No. 181 overall) to the Detroit Lions.
Arizona’s sixth-round pick (No. 183) isn’t too far off from where Detroit could possibly nab Virgil.
The Cardinals have already added to the wide receivers room this offseason with the addition of Kendrick Bourne. He rounds out a top trio that is highlighted by Michael Wilson and Marvin Harrison Jr.

Arizona also scheduled top 30 visits with quarterbacks Ty Simpson (Alabama) and Carson Beck (Miami).
Pass rushers David Bailey (Texas Tech) and Arvell Reese (Ohio State), who are expected to be top-10 draft picks, met with the Cardinals earlier this offseason, among others.
